FAQ'S


Q:  Are there mice and bats at the beach house?
A: Yes.  There have always been varmints at the beach house.  Whoever stays at the beach house needs to set the traps and take care of them when they get there and when they leave.

Q:  Is there bedding & towels to use at the beach house?
A: No.  You will need to bring all of your own bedding & towels.  We do not have a washer and dryer so you need to bring your own sleeping bags, sheets, towels, kitchen towels, toilet paper, etc.

Q:  If I’m paying for three weeks at the beach house, can I get three consecutive weeks in a row?
A:  No.  We share the weeks at the beach house with other extended family members.  We alternate every two weeks for time spent at the beach house and it would be selfish of us to impose on other family members time. 

Q:  if I’m only able to use the beach house for one week, why do I have to pay for three weeks?
A:  Each of Dad’s children (Tori, Bob, & Chris) need to pay for a third of the expenses to use the beach house.  You will be given multiple weeks to chose from.  At that point you can decide how much time you will use.  The expenses are the same whether you use it for one, two, or three weeks.  

Q:  Why isn’t there a public calendar on this website?
A: That’s private information and you only need to worry about your own time.

Q:  How do I know which weeks are available?
A:  Once you have paid by the April 30th deadline, I will send you the list of available weeks for the upcoming summer calendar.  At that point you can let me know which weeks you would like.

Q:  Why can’t we make improvements to the beach house if I’m willing to pay for them?
A:  We share the beach house with other extended family members and any improvements (changing paint color, hanging pictures, etc) would need to be approved beforehand.
